In South Carolina, the warm and humid climate creates an ideal environment for termites, with the most common types being subterranean, including the Formosan termite, and drywood termites. These pests, are known for their destructive nature, creating mud tubes and causing extensive structural damage to properties from below

Subterranean termites build their colonies in moist soil and often enter buildings undetected. Signs of infestation include the presence of mud tubes, damaged wood, and swarming termites. Drywood termites, living within the wood they consume, can be identified by piles of fine wood shavings and hollowed-out wood.
